He’s one to talk

In light of the horrendous shooting in Aurora Colorado, Mexico’s president Felipe Calderon has said that the US needs to review its mistaken legislation on guns. He says our gun laws are hurting everyone, meaning Mexico.

Well isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black. I think, as do about 500 million more Americans, that he needs to clean up his own country before even thinking about making a comment about ours. Let’s see, he does nothing to help enforce immigration laws, in fact he is helping Obama advertise food stamps in Mexico, showing his citizens they get free stuff for coming here. Meanwhile he is doing nothing to stop the ever-increasing flow of drugs coming into the US. He keeps blaming us for allowing the crime from his country coming here.

We have places in our country, like Arizona, where Mexican drug cartels now claim as their own. I don’t see Calderon doing anything about that. Yet he’ll cry about our gun laws, yeah well clean up your own country first.

The Second Amendment is an AMERICAN constitutional right, not a Mexican, nor a UN right. It is our right, and I say every other country can go kick rocks, especially if they have a higher crime rate than we do, cause apparently they suck at policing themselves.

I am all for the right to bear arms

Amendment 2 – Right to Bear Arms. Ratified 12/15/1791

A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The second amendment to the US Constitution, it has become a popular topic of discussion lately. In light of the mass shooting in Aurora Colorado people on both sides of the gun ownership issue have been shouting why their position is the best and why the second amendment should stand or be repealed. Well I for one think it as well as the rest of the Constitution should be upheld as the law of the land as our Founding Fathers had intended.

Getting back to the topic at hand. I see a lot of people on the side of gun ownership and pro second amendment saying if one legal concealed carry owner had been in the theater that night things would have been different. Well they might be right, then again they might be wrong. Just because some one owns a gun it does not mean they actually know how to use it. If a gun owner who has a gun and doesn’t know how to use it, they might not use it, then this shooting would have ended the same exact way it did. Now if the same gun owner used the gun not knowing how to shoot under stress, that person could have shot innocent people adding to the tragedy. Now add another untrained gun owner and the tragedy mulitplies ten-fold.

Now put just one legally concealed carrying gun owner, who takes his second amendment right seriously and actually takes his gun out to the range, and trains, not just on stationary targets, but also trains on moving targets, and multiple and target discrimination. A gun owner who trains in stress shooting, when their heart rate is at 120 bpm, and 130 bpm and up, who shoots in low light and night situations, and no I’m not talking about a Military or Law Enforcement Member, just a person who takes  their right to bear arms and protect their family seriously and knows that danger does not just come when you are ready. Put that one gun owner in that theater and that shooting is over before the shooter gets off more than 10 rounds, I guarantee it. A law-abiding gun owner does not have a gun to go looking for trouble, they have guns to stop trouble that comes looking for them or the people they are with.

The second amendment is a short but important one. Do not let the federal government take away our rights to defend ourselves.

Strict gun laws are not the answer

Jonathan Blunk, A.J Boik, Jesse Childress, Gordon Cowden, Jessica Ghawi, John Thomas Larimer, Matt McQuinn, Micayla Medek, Veronica Moser-Sullivan, Alex Sullivan, Alex Treves, Rebecca Wingo.

Three American servicemen, one six year-old little girl. These are the names of those who died in Aurora Colorado.

Aurora Colorado, a city with some of the strictest gun laws in the country. If those laws did not protect these innocent victims, 3 of which we know for a fact gave their lives so the ones the love can live, how will enacting stricter laws country-wide stop this from happening again? How will taking the guns away from law-abiding citizens like Samuel Williams who stopped a robbery in Florida this week by having his legally owned fire arm, and shot two gun wielding robbers as they entered an internet café.

Law-abiding citizens do not cause crime, they prevent crime. Criminals will not enter a place where guns are allowed, they look for soft targets, places like the theater in Aurora which proudly proclaims its Gun Free Zone status. Criminals look for easy targets, they look for unarmed citizens because they know they can show a gun and do what they want.

A government that wants to un-arm it’s citizens is not afraid of criminals, that government is afraid of its citizens. Why else would they use fear at every turn blame the gun for the action of the human that controls it? A gun can not do anything with out some one controlling it, and last I looked about 85 million law-abiding gun owners didn’t commit a crime last year let alone on Friday night.

Just a little knowledge

I feel the need to put this out there. A gun is a piece of metal, it has no brain, no consciousness, it has no feelings. It can not do anything by itself. If you put a gun on a table in a crowded room, or in a bank, even a loaded gun, it will sit there and DO NOTHING. It will not hurt one of those people, it will not rob that bank, and it will not kill any one. It will sit there and just do nothing. It is a hunk of unfeeling, uncaring metal. It does not care who you are, what you are doing, what color you are, how much money you have or anything else. That’s not true because in order to not care, that means it has to have that ability and guns don’t. They have no brains, no nervous system, nothing. They are inanimate objects that can not do anything with out a human hand. It takes a human to manipulate a gun into doing what they want it to do.

If the person is bad you get what happened in Aurora Colorado, which is a tragedy. If the human is good you get what happened in Ocala Florida where a crime was averted by a law-abiding citizen, and what happens every other day by every other law-abiding citizen which is nothing. No gun violence.

Why do politicians and Hollywood types, who by the way employ armed body guards, call for taking away guns for law-abiding citizens, when the gun did nothing wrong. Why not place the blame where it belongs, on the criminal who committed the crime. No one blames the knife when some one stabs another person to death, so why is it different when a gun is involved? A criminal will find a way to commit a crime no matter what, whether they have a gun or a knife or a bat or a golf club. Blaming an inanimate object just proves how unintelligent you really are.

This Embarasses me as a Military member

As a member of the Military I hold myself to a standard of discipline that is higher than that of normal society. I want to set my self apart in all that I do. I am the defender of my country, of the freedoms my fellow Americans enjoy. I am that person the children look up to and want to be like, because I uphold all that America is, not because I am any better than any one, but because I make every one better. I fight for those who can not fight for themselves, I defend those who can not defend themselves, I liberate those who are oppressed. When my country is attacked I go to a foreign land and defeat those who attacked my country and hurt and killed my fellow-man.

To hear this embarrasses me a Military man. An Air Force Instructor was convicted of rape. Air Force Staff Sergeant Luis Walker was convicted of raping trainees assigned to him. I can not tell you how much this hurts me as a Non Commissioned Officer in the United States Army. I am a trainer of Soldiers. I am committed to training young Soldiers, and they give me their total confidence, they trust I will take care of them. I have led Soldiers into combat, and they did what I told them because they knew I would get them home alive. And for this piece of shit to use this trust to sexually abuse and rape his subordinates, is inexcusable.

What makes this worse is there are 11 other instructors along with Walker who are accused of sexually abusing trainees. This sickens me. I truly believe the Military should be held to a higher standard than the average citizen, we are not the average citizen. And accordingly those who violate that trust should be punished more severely.

Stop trying to take my guns

I am sick and tired of hearing all of the politicians and Hollywood types crying for my guns after every deranged maniac goes on a shooting spree. Do you know why these deranged maniacs get away with killing so many people every time they go on these shooting sprees? BECAUSE NO ONE HAD A GUN TO SHOOT BACK AT THEM.

In every mass shooting tragedy they have to wait for the shooter to kill them self or for the police to arrive to stop the shooter, which could take up to 5 minutes. Even a novice shooter can get off dozens of rounds in 5 minutes. If a law-abiding citizen, who must go through training to be licensed to carry a concealed weapon is present, that time is cut down to seconds, as was the case in Florida earlier this week. Samuel Williams was in an internet café in Ocala Florida when 2 gunmen rushed in with the intent of robbing every one. Samuel is licensed to carry a concealed weapon, as soon as he saw them brandishing their weapons he opened fire, and I guarantee he stopped a mass shooting before it started.

Imagine if in every mass shooting there was an armed, trained, law-abiding citizen ready to stand their ground and defend those who could not defend themselves. This country would be the great country our Founding Fathers envisioned it to be, not the mess modern politicians made it.

Another Shooting leaves 12 dead

In Aurora, Colorado a lone gunman walked into a movie theater and opened fire killing 12, so far, and wounding at least 50. This is a long line of mass shootings that goes all way back to 1966 here is a list of some of the worst in America-

Aug. 1, 1966: Charles Whitman opened fire from the clock tower at the University of Texas at Austin, killing 16 people and wounding 31.

July 18, 1984: James Oliver Huberty, an out-of-work security guard, kills 21 people in a McDonald’s restaurant in San Ysidro, Calif. A police sharpshooter kills Huberty.

Aug. 20, 1986: Pat Sherrill, 44, a postal worker who was about to be fired, shoots 14 people at a post office in Edmond, Okla. He then kills himself.

June 18, 1990: James Edward Pough shoots people at random in a General Motors Acceptance Corp. office in Jacksonville, Fla., killing 10 and wounding four, before killing himself.

Oct. 16, 1991: A deadly shooting rampage took place in Killeen, Texas, as George Hennard opened fire at a Luby’s Cafeteria, killing 23 people before taking his own life. 20 others were wounded in the attack.

April 20, 1999: Students Eric Harris, 18, and Dylan Klebold, 17, opened fire at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colo., killing 12 classmates and a teacher and wounding 26 others before killing themselves in the school’s library.

April 16, 2007: Seung-Hui Cho, 23, fatally shot 32 people in a dorm and a classroom at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, then killed himself in the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

November 5, 2009: Nidal Hasan a fanatic Islamic radical fatally shot 13 people including 12 soldiers at Fort Hood Texas.

These are just a few examples, then there is what is considered by some the most brazen shooting, that of Representative Gabrielle Giffords and 18 others, 6 of whom died, by Jared Lee Loughner on January 8, 2001.
So what do all of these shootings have in common? The only ones there with a gun were the bad guys. Had there been law-abiding citizens who were lawfully allowed to carry a concealed weapon these shootings my have turned out a lot different. Just look at the story of the 71-year-old man who was legally carrying a concealed weapon in an Ocala Florida internet café when a pair of armed thugs came in. he pulled out his gun and shot, he stopped not only a robbery but what very well could have been some innocent person getting hurt. And guess what, he shot at the bad guys, hit them and when they left he stopped shooting. No one else was hurt, no property was damaged, his gun didn’t just decide to kill random people. He stopped very bad people from doing very bad things.
People this is the reason for the 2nd amendment, the right to bear arms. If the federal and state governments would stop making it so hard for law-abiding American citizens to exercise that right crime would drop drastically. Criminals are bullies and they pick on those weaker than they are, if they even think they are evenly matched they will run. Why do you think they love guns so much? Because they know they can get them and the average law-abiding American can not. If more people were walking around legally armed criminals would think twice about committing their crimes.

Losing my brothers and sisters in arms in combat is sad, losing them to suicide is tragic, losing them in the name of political correctness is a crime.

The Federal Bureau of INVESTIGATION failed to investigate Nidal Hasan due to their concern about POLITICAL CORRECTNESS. You read that right, they did not launch an investigation into him being a fanatic Islamic extremist because Washington agents thought that interviewing American Muslims who visit extremist websites was a sensitive issue and did not reach out to Hasan’s bosses at the Defense Department. In emails to a known terrorist, Nidal Hasan, I refuse to use his former rank in the Army he lost any privilege to that,  expressed his support for suicide bombings and killing civilians, while the terrorist, Anwar al-Awlaki, encouraged Hasan to stay in touch. Read more here.

So instead of doing their job questioning a suspected terrorist, they let 12 of my brothers and sisters in arms die needlessly. I call for criminal charges to be brought against the agents who read those emails, and for the agents in charge who decided not to question Hasan. Political correctness has gone too far, and our government has allowed too many people to be murdered in its name. From the tragedy at Fort Hood to Operation Fast and Furious our government has to answer for the part it has played in the murder of Americans through its inaction and in part its permission.

I can not forget to point out my love for the ACLU

I have a special place in my heart for the ACLU. The American Civil Liberties Union, a group of lawyers that have nothing better to do than sue people for the most ridiculous asinine reasons.

They are now suing on behalf of Anwar al-Awlaki, his son Abdulrahman al-Awlaki and Samir Khan. If you don’t know Awlaki  was a senior talent recruiter and motivator who was involved with planning operations for the Islamist militant group al-Qaeda. That’s right folks he was a senior al-Qaeda operative who was involved in planning the killing of innocent Americans. Samir Khan, was editor and publisher of Inspire magazine, an English-language online magazine published by al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), in which he authored such intriguing articles as “Make a Bomb in the Kitchen of Your Mom.”

What else do these two have in common other than al-Qaeda? They were both killed in a drone strike in Yemen, and the were both American. Yes they were Americans who decided that al-Qaeda and killing Americans was their chosen way of life. Now the ACLU is suing on behalf of their families. Seriously? Giving American Civil Liberties to people who actively denied those liberties to innocent Americans.

Just like the UN the ACLU is a group that has out lived its usefulness and needs to go. Suing on the behalf of terrorists, that’s a new low in any lawyers book.

Big Sis gestapo stops 2 illegals at Canadian border

How ever they are not the illegals you think they are. Two Seattle men were stopped at the Canadian border and detained for more than 2 hours after border agents found contraband hidden in their car. What was the contraband you ask? Was it illicit drugs? No. Was it illegal aliens being smuggled into the country? No. Was it pirated clothing or videos or music? No. Well what was it? It was a horrendous, insidious, diabolical invention called, gasp, a Kinder Egg, oh no!!!! What is a Kinder Egg you ask? A kinder Egg is a chocolate egg with a toy inside of it. And they are illegal in the US.

No not illegal alien illegal, I mean REALLY ILLEGAL. Like “I will arrest you and send you to jail forever!” illegal.

Seriously? Is this what our border agents are looking for? Not illegal aliens or illegal guns walking across the border, but candy eggs? It makes sense, the candy eggs can’t vote for a democrat or make our gun laws look flawed. If this doesn’t make you realize our current administration isn’t working I don’t know what else to say. November 6, 2012 the day we take back our country.
